Baynes Sound Garden Club

The Baynes Sound Garden Club provides a social setting that focuses on gardening and fun social activities. The Club is a great way to meet a group of people with similar interests in gardens and gardening. No need to be an expert gardener; everyone is welcome, including guests.

Joyce is going to show us how to take our kitchen scraps, our yard waste, our coffee grounds, and turn them into black gold—the kind of rich, living earth that makes your plants explode with vitality.

A PowerPoint presentation, a sample of 1 composter for you to peruse, and her infamous "Test your composting skills" game that often brings up thought-provoking discussions.

Monthly Meetings:
Meetings are held the first Thursday of each month (except for January, July, and August) at 7:00 pm at the Little Hall, 418 Ship's Point Road, Fanny Bay. Most meetings include a guest speaker, refreshments, a showcase for members to display items from their garden, and many opportunities to ask questions, share information (and plants), and make new friends.

Membership:
Yearly memberships are $20 single or $30 for family.

Social Events

Garden tours, barbeques and an annual Christmas party are just some of the events we hold each year.

Fundraising

Our big fundraiser of the year is a Plant Sale in May (the Saturday of the Mother's Day weekend) with sale items being donated by club members from their own gardens and homes. Volunteers are always welcome.
