This past spring the FBCA board was made aware of a need for Conduct and Planning Guidelines for children’s events. We put a call out asking for parents/ volunteers to come forward to participate on a short- term committee of three parents and two board members to complete this task.

At the August FBCA Board meeting it was agreed that the Board could not In good conscience host any children’s special events until the guidelines are in place. The first event that we find we are unable to support is the annual Hallowe’en children’s party.
The Fanny Bay and Ships Point Volunteer Fire Departments will be hosting a bonfire and fireworks for the community at the Hall parking lot at dusk. The fireworks will as usual, be funded with donations from both local fire departments , the Baynes Sound Lions, the FBCA, and other individual donors. We invite families and neighbours to gather and enjoy.
Please be advised there will be no candy collection at the hall. No treat bags or hot dogs on the night of the 31st. Bonfire and Fireworks only.
